Spectacular Gaits vs Equine Health

Using examples from the 2015 stallion licensing in Verden Germany it is shown how the wrong selection in Warmblood horses for thrust and mobility affects not only the quality of the gaits but the health as well. Both effects are counterproductive in a reliable horse.   Extreme thrust from the hind legs and hyper mobility are causing balance problems. Snips and snails and puppy dog tails that what little boys are made of.   I imagine most, if not all of us have heard that poem before. Growing up I wanted a pony.
